Built in 1904 by Florida citrus grower Robert Lee Collins, The Palm Mansion has remained in the loving care of his family for five generations, from the orange crate crown molding, to the original heart of pine floors, the Collins legacy is preserved in every inch of this home.

Umatilla is a small town about an hour north of Orlando.

About 15 miles south of Umatilla is Mount Dora, which is a cute historic town. Mount Dora borders the picturesque Lake Dora, and is known for antique shops and a historic downtown.

Fox Den Country Inn - in Umatilla. This is the closest hotel option, but they don't offer bookings until 3 months out. This is a motel-style accommodation right on the highway; I would only stay here if you are desperate :)
